Victoria, British Columbia, Canada - Oct 1 - 2

We loved visiting Victoria so much that we went back for another overnight stay. We had another delightful time, went back to a favorite restaurant and tried some new ones. We even went to a traditional afternoon tea.

Smooth colorful stones cover the beach, near the Mora campground where we stayed.

We saw a humongous driftwood tree, which of course Graham had to climb up.

Lots of sea stacks to gaze upon at this beach, with a hike through the woods to get to it.

Hall of Mosses Trail
The steady rain created the perfect ambiance to walk through the rainforest. They say up to 2500 people walk this trail each day. Visiting off season has so many benefits, and less people is one of them.

Spruce Nature Trail
We had this entire trail to ourselves.
Graham found a four leaf clover, but we were already feeling lucky!

Kalaloch Campground, Olympic National Park, WA - Oct 10 - 13

We scored a sweet ocean front campsite, and we enjoyed daily visits from eagles.
Everyday we watched sea otters playing in the ocean.

Beach 4, Olympic National Park, WA - Oct 11 - 12

This was Colleen's favorite of all of the beaches we visited. We looked for starfish (sea stars) in the tide pools. Our second day we timed our search for a couple of hours before low tide peaked and we scored. We saw over a hundred starfish, colorful and varying in size.

General Duffy's Waterhole, Redmond, OR - Oct 20 - 21

This was a unique place to stay. It was a complex that included a brewery, a restaurant, a dog park, a food truck court, and entertainment. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed a beer and dinner while sitting outside.

Riverbend Park, Bend, OR - Oct 21

We took a lovely walk at this city park. The decorative mill is made with kayaks.  The ducks were diving for food, paddling their little feet with their butts up in the air. It was adorable.

This is a BLM park, 6 miles down an unpaved road, which led to a beautiful spot to spend a couple of nights.

Anderson Cove Campground, UT - Oct 24 - 25

Graham got to go explore a ninja gym in Ogden, while Colleen taught yoga and then watched a Hallmark movie.

Saratoga Lake Campground, Saratoga, WY - Oct 25 - 26

We arrived at sunset and left early the next morning. This was a cute small town with hot springs that we did not utilize (maybe next time). There was a small Italian restaurant that was full for the night but we were able to get seats and eat at the bar.  The food was amazing, it was no wonder that it was booked solid on a week night.

This was our sunset view from Solas. The full moon reflected on the lake and lit up the night sky. It got very cold that night.

Pomona State Park, Kansas City, KS - Oct 29 - 30

We were curious to check out Kansas City, so we camped nearby and went downtown for a quick look.
