We are pausing in Phoenix this fall and winter, staying at the lovely home of our wonderful friend Alicia, who we met on the Abraham-Hicks Caribbean Cruise in March of this year.
Phoenix, AZ
Solas is parked in the driveway and we are actually staying in the house. It feels different to have so much space. We love the courtyard gardens that so many of the desert houses have.
Nov 1 - 4
Our friend Al, who we also met on the cruise, came to visit Phoenix. He is the chef in Idaho that we helped at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival. We all had a wonderful time eating our way around the city.
The Doggies
Meet Coconut and Affogato! Little Coconut we have met before, and she is so sweet. Affogato was recently adopted after spending a year in a shelter. He is adapting to his new family. He is also eating more regularly, and will soon be filling in his large frame!
Flagstaff, AZ - Nov 17
A small group of us took a day trip to Flagstaff to do an Extreme Adventure Course. Afterwards we went out to dinner in downtown Flagstaff. Such a cute and appealing city, we look forward to returning.
Goodie Bag
We were recently introduced to this app, Goodie Bag, where businesses sell day old items, or a select number of "fresh" items at a BIG discount. So far we have only tried it with Suss Pastries, and they have all been delicious.
Thanksgiving - Nov 28
Colleen really enjoyed baking prior to life on the road. She tried to reconnect to making pies on this extended pause in Phoenix. The pie looked a lot better then it tasted! ;) We were thankful to be included in a group friendsgiving for dinner.
Around Town
Natural beauty is peppered throughout the city of Phoenix. There are many places to walk and hike. We were lucky to catch this cacti in bloom.
Piestewa Peak
We are conveniently staying across the street from Piestewa Peak. Besides the peak trail there are many other trails to enjoy on the mountain.
