We went to Alabama, and celebrated Eva and Dan, who eloped in Portugal last September.
The venue, Magnolia Overlook on Weiss Lake (magnoliaoverlook.com), is spectacular, and perfect for any large gathering. The weekend was thoughtfully full of fun activities, and we got to be with friends and family.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, FL - May 13 - 15
Graham's sand art. This was the first time we took the pathway to No Name Lake.

Amazing wildlife at this preserve, including wild Spanish horses, which we got to see at sunrise and again at the visitor center observation deck.

Silver Springs State Park, Silver Springs, FL - May 18 - 20
Revisited one of our faves. We kayaked the Silver River again, got to see abundant wildlife, and for the first time got to see what could be described as a Great Blue Heron posing. It resembled a ballerina. The mischievous monkey was trying to steal people's coolers.

Juniper Springs, Fort McCoy, FL - May 20 - 23
Since you are not permitted to swim in Silver Springs, we drove to Juniper Springs to cool off in the chilly water.

Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine, FL - May 20 - 23
It's always a pleasant stay at this beautiful spot. It was too hot for us to hike this time, but Graham did get to surf.

Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, GA & Tybee Island - May 23 - 26
We like the hikes that are available in the campground. We walked through the farmer's market at Forsyth Park and this was our first visit to Tybee Island where we had lunch at the eclectic restaurant "Sea Wolf".

Suffolk VA - May 29 - June 2
Visited our friend family from Nashville, who moved to Suffolk this year. We did so many fun things including visiting Fort Monroe, and taking the JR Ferry to the Billsburg Brewery and Jamestown Glasshouse.
