Colorado River, NV / AZ - Feb 28 - Mar 2

We drove to the Hoover Dam, and spent the night at Hoover Dam Lodge. In the morning an outfit company picked us up and drove us down to the bottom of the dam, to the Colorado River. We canoed to the Colorado Hot Springs and set up camp for the night. The following day we continued paddling to our pick up spot. From drop-off to pick-up it was a total of 12 miles. We had a great trip and even played Bocce on the beach.

Fun In Phoenix

Our first Waymo (Driverless Ride Service) ride, and our first Pie ATM.

The Phoenix Mountains Preserve was our go-to spot for hiking, and walking the pups.

Our last visit to Valentine, our favorite restaurant in Phoenix. It will probably be our first stop when we come back to town.

Petrified Forest National Park, AZ - Mar 17

Our route conveniently took us through the Petrified Forest. We had such a fun time exploring here in 2022 that we were happy to take a drive through the park. There were a couple of vehicles on display with petrified wood weighing them down to complete flat tires.

Santa Fe, NM - Mar 19 - 23

We have enjoyed Santa Fe, and even have a favorite restaurant in town, Dolina Cafe. Our last visit we went to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs, and this time we had a private soak at Ojo Santa Fe. It was a delightful experience, however, Ojo Caliente is our favorite.

Villanueva State Park, NM - Mar 23 - 24

This was a return trip to a high desert park. We love this hike, and this was our second time doing it.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, TX - Mar 24 - 27

This canyon is one of the largest in the US, second only to the Grand Canyon. It is a gorgeous spot, and we are so glad our friends suggested us meeting them there.
