- Paradise -
There were several "seasons" going on in the park.
We were not prepared for the amount of snow that was still on the mountain.

A beautiful area created around a stunningly aqua blue lake, made from glacier water.

There was still a lot of snow around in the park and some roads were not open yet. We enjoyed the hikes and exploring that we did.
- Ross Lake Overlook -
- Blue Lake Trail -
This was a fun hike that became strenuous as the last 1/4 mile was covered in 4 feet of snow. We saw a couple of bear prints in the snow but didn't get to see the bear. While we were eating lunch next to the frozen lake we heard an avalanche. It was thunderous and had Colleen running to hide behind some rocks!

- Ross Lake Trail and Resort -
Ross Lake is one of the most unique places that we have been. You can get there by hiking or by taking a ferry. We chose to hike. We walked across the dam, and then continued hiking through the forest until we got to the floating resort. We rented kayaks; the wind was so extreme in the afternoon that it felt like we were paddling in the ocean.
