We had to go back to the Everglades area to do more exploring!

We got a recommendation for this cuban restaurant on Chokoloskee Island, which turned out to be everything we could want from a tropical cafe.

We did not know what to expect from this mythical area. It delivered in epic proportions, with stunning views and abundant wildlife. We took a few different tours, and felt a deep sense of belonging.

Everglades Farms Mini Camp Grounding is a beautiful piece of land that the owners share with people traveling in RV's. A convenient place to stay to explore the parks in the area. (Boondockers Welcome)

Myakka River State Park (Sarasota, FL) Jan 21 - 22

We Loved our day trip to this park so much that we came back for two nights.

Lovers Key State Park (Fort Meyers) - Jan 20

This park was recommended to us, and we had a good time out on the kayaks. It was also the only time (so far) that we went swimming at the beach.

Suburban Canal (North Port, FL) Jan 19
