 Mount Spokane, WA - Jul 31 - Aug 1

The temperatures were high; to escape the heat we drove up the mountain to this campground.  The temperature dropped 10 - 20 degrees and made it comfortable for the night. Then we took a lovely hike in the morning.

Kettlehouse Brewing Co., Bonner, MT - August 1

This was our first time seeing one of our favorite musicians, Jason Mraz, in concert. This venue was recommended to us and we drove from WA to MT to see him play here!  The venue delivered and Jason was amazing!!

Flathead Lake, MT - August 2

 Glacier National Park, MT - August 3 - 10

This was a return to one of our favorite places in any park we have been to. Eight nights was an awesome amount of time to relax, hike, and pretend to swim in the lake.

- Cobalt Lake Trail -
This was our longest hike to date, 12 miles, with a 1600 elevation gain. We got to see Aster Falls and Rockwell Falls on our way to the lake.

- Hidden Lake Trail -
This trail starts from the Logan Pass Visitor Center, a very busy area of the park. Get there early to get a parking spot. We loved this hike, and we had fog, sun, and rain! The lake is gorgeous and we weren't brave enough to take a plunge.

- Aster Park Trail -
This was a spontaneous hike that started with walking over to the park store to the trail heads to take a short jaunt to see if any moose were out. We ended up talking a four mile hike at sunset up steep incline. It was getting dark on our way back.

- Upper Medicine Lake Hike -
Our second longest hike, 10 miles. The first portion was a repeat from last year when we hiked to Twin Falls. We had the pleasure of seeing several moose on this hike. One of which was munching close by on some shrubbery.

 Stanley (and area), ID  - August 16 - 21

Our first time in Stanley was in May, and it already holds a special place in our hearts. When we arrived this time, the Wapiti fire had already been burning for a few weeks.  The area was becoming smokier with each day that we were there.  Depending on the direction of the wind there were clear areas. The smoke from the fires was creating the most epic sunsets.

 Driggs, ID - August 29 - Sept 1

Driggs is a small Idaho town with lots of fun shops. We walked around and found things to purchase including delicious cold brew from Perks. The camping field we were in had a magical view of the west side of the Tetons.
